A prominent CORD MP has ditched Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) and joined Jubilee Alliance for the sake of development of his constituents.
Speaking on Thursday, Mwingi Central MP, Joe Mutambu, said he has decided to join Jubilee because he has realised CORD cannot be an alternate Government in 2017.
Mutambu said the constituents will vote for him for initiating development in the area and reject Wiper party's calls to reject leaders who have defied party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka.
The first term MP said Kalonzo is not a voter in Mwingi Central and “can't influence anyone not to vote for me” despite improving their lives.
“Can he make my grandmother and brothers not vote for me?” asked Mutambu.
“People must know we can make it in life without them and if we don't that's not the end of it.” he added.
The outspoken MP also said he does not regret his decision to go against Kalonzo and support the Government to achieve developments that he said will change people's lives.
