Mombasa-based hit maker Dogo Richie, alias Riche Ree, is gearing up to become a full-fledged music promoter in order to “fight Nairobi-based promoters”, who he claims have been discriminating against Coast musicians in getting shows for them.
Speaking to Nation.co.ke, Dogo Richie, who is currently riding high with his hit single “Yoyoba”, which he is set to release as a remix soon featuring Nairobi-based rapper Calvo Mistari, says he has founded his recording label, RICLAM (Richie Classic Music), which he intends to use as a music/entertainment label that will help expose Coast musicians to national and international audiences.
FOOTSTEPS OF DIAMOND
Following in the footsteps of Diamond's recording label WBC that has already introduced two of its musicians, Raymond and Harmonise, the three-month-old RICLAM has signed up two musicians, Shyman and Batego, who are already recording songs.
