– Raila Odinga continued his war of words against DP William Ruto, questioning the source of his wealth

Opposition leader Raila Odinga continued his war of words with Depuy President William Ruto while on a tour of Kwale county on Thursday, August 18.
Addressing residents in the county, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader questioned the source of Ruto’s wealth and told residents to grab it, even more, when he brings them money in the form of harambees.
Ruto is also in the coast region.
“I know Ruto is coming here with that money to do harambees. When he gives it to you, take it and don’t say thank you but instead ask him to bring more,” Raila said as quoted by Standard.
The former prime minister also blasted the Jubilee government for what he said is neglecting the coast region and its residents, and cast doubt on its ability to solve land injustices that have affected residents for many years.
He said that it is only his party (ODM) that can solve the problems the coast people are facing.
Raila is on a week-long tour of the region where he is popularizing his party and opening more offices following a series of defections that have threatened party unity.
A number of leaders have left the party on grounds of mistreatment, with the latest being former secretary general Ababu Namwamba and vice chairman Paul Otwoma.
Namwamba has since fallen out with Raila, going on to blast him on several occasions as he seeks to popularize himself ahead of the 2017 polls.
He has hinted at forming a third force that will rival both the Jubilee and the CORD coalition in the coming election but has not ruled out the possibility of joining the Jubilee camp.
However, those in ODM believe the wealth Raila is question was used to buy Ababu to Jubilee, and it is only a matter of time before he officially joins President Uhuru Kenyatta’s camp.
