Malik Obama is disappointed with his brother President Barack Obama so much that he has opted to support Donald Trump whom he will vote for come November 8th.
President Obama’s Kenyan half-brother Malik Obama has bought into Trump’s ideology “Make America Great Again”
Malik has caused a storm after he publicly declared his support for Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.
In an interview with the Post from his home in Kogelo, Siaya County, Malik said that his brother President Obama had disappointed him and that he would vote for Trump. (Malik has a dual citizenship for Kenya and US.)
He cited six reasons why he will be voting Trump on November 8th.
1. Malik admires Donald Trump
Malik told the Post Donald Trump speaks from his heart adding that he was deeply disappointed by Democrats.
He particularly singled out his brother’s administration as the reason why he switched allegiance to Republican.
2. President Obama failed to prosecute Clinton over leaked mails
Democrat Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was involved in email scandal back then when she was the Secretary of State.
Hillary emails were leaked when she used private e-mail servers instead of secured ones provided by the US government.
Even though FBI have recommended not prosecuting Hillary for the breach of security for using private e-mail servers, Malik Obama thinks his brother Barack should have pushed for the prosecution of Clinton.
“She should have known better as the custodian of classified information,” Malik told the Post.
3. President Obama and Clinton ‘killed’ Muammar Gaddafi
US was part of NATO-led coalition airstrikes in Libya that saw the death of Muammar Gaddafi and downfall of his administration in 2011.
Malik Obama is annoyed President Obama and Clinton killed the Libyan leader whom he called one of his best friends. (Fact: Gaddafi's convoy was hit by a French airstrike and then rebels killed him afterwards).
Malik dedicated his 2012 biography of his late father Barack Obama Sr. to Gaddafi for making the world a better place.
4. President Obama and Democrats are pro same-sex marriage
A polygamous Malik Obama (has three known wives though there are claims he has 12) is opposed to same-sex relationships which his brother President Obama and Democrats at large, have been advocating for.
Malik told the Post he felt like a Republican because they don’t stand for same-sex marriage.
5. President Obama wanted to shut Barack H. Obama Foundation
Malik Obama is director of Barack H. Obama Foundation, a controversial Virginia charity organization named after his father.
Malik started the foundation in 2008 with the aim of bringing development in K’ogelo village, Siaya County.
The charity came under fire when The Post revealed in 2011 that it was an off-the-books operation that hadn’t registered with the state of Virginia and didn’t have tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
IRS later gave Barack H. Obama Foundation a clean bill of health sparking speculations President Barack Obama had intervened.
Even so, Malik claims President Obama hasn’t provided any assistance to Barack H. Obama Foundation and instead he (Barack) wanted to shut it down.
“My brother didn’t help me at all. He wanted me to shut it down when I set it up. He hasn’t supported me at all.” Malik was quoted by the Post.
6. President Obama didn’t support his bid for Siaya gubernatorial race in 2013
Malik Obama failed with honors when he vied for Siaya gubernatorial seat in 2013 after spending close to Kes 2 million in campaign. And he’s blaming President Barack Obama for failing to endorse him as Siaya governor.
Malik expected President Obama to be by his side in his bid to be Siaya governor having been the President’s best man in his wedding, besides being his brother.
But surely, politics in Siaya and the greater Luo nation are determined by who Raila Odinga says ‘Tosha’, There is no way President Obama would have helped Malik won the Siaya gubernatorial seat.
Malik plans to travel to US in November to vote for Trump.
