– According to science, there’s no such thing as a tight vagina or loose vagina.

– Men have raised these issue with their lovers saying their vaginas are too loose especially after childbirth.

People believe that; virgins have tight vaginas, losing virginity permanently loosens the vagina, promiscuous women have loose vaginas and that childbirth permanently loosens the vagina.

A vagina is similar to your mouth in terms of elasticity, according to Psychology Today.


When you pull the corners of your mouth towards your ears, however far you can manage, it will snap back to its shape.

Picture an elastic band, when stretched and snapped it will still get back to its initial form. Do it over 50 times there won’t be any permanent damage it will still go to its original form, you won’t notice you had overstretched it.



The same goes for the vagina, it retains it’s original tight form when at rest without sexual arousal or childbirth.

However, when you try to insert a tampon or anything, the vaginal muscles contract further due to anxiety.

But when sexually aroused, the vaginal muscles relax in readiness for insertion of erections as explained by biology and reproduction.

Once the sex is over the vagina will naturally contract, tightening back to initial form, no matter how often a woman has sex.


Like an elastic band pulled and snapped over and over for a long period of time, when you stretch a vagina, eventually, it will lose some of its ability to bounce back with the same strength as it did in your early twenties.

Nevertheless, there have been recorded accounts of women whose vaginas have not been affected by frequent  births or age-related looseness.
