After Senator John Lonyangapuo vowed to do the unthinkable to Deputy President William Ruto for insulting him in front of his wife recently, Members of West Pokot County Assembly have also put the DP on notice.
Led by Majority Leader, Simon Kelekem, the MCAs accused Ruto of disrespecting Lonyangapuo and County leaders, especially those affiliated to the independence party, KANU.
The leaders claimed that Ruto used abusive language when he told locals that they were being misled by Senator John Lonyangapuo and other KANU leaders not to support the ruling Jubilee Coalition.
They warned the DP never to set foot in West Pokot if his intention is to insult leaders.
Otherwise, he is free to visit and seek votes just like any other person.
“Like any other person, Ruto is free to seek political support from the semi-arid County, but should not undermine leaders from the region,” said Kelekem.
