Garissa County Governor Nathif Jama has said that he deserves another term to complete his projects.
According to the outospoken governor, he has done a lot for the people of his county and he deserves to be re-elected.
Speaking to more than 1,000 non residents in Garissa, Jama said that his government has taken the county to another level.
He pointed out that he has initiated various projects in the region despite facing a number of challenges since he was elected to the position in the last general elections.
He also criticised that the cases facing his administration are among the things that have slowed down his progress when it comes to matters to do with development in the region.
The governor noted that 27 cases that have been filed against his officials have hampered his effort towards developing the county.
“My political detractors have made it a habit to hop from one court to another to frustrate me and ensure I don’t deliver,” he said
The governor also said that Garissa is the only county that has not formed a lands board.
“We are the only county which doesn’t have a county lands board, thanks to a court injunction from a resident from this county,” he said.
